Partnering with Russia's new entrepreneurs: software Tsarina Olga Kirova

Article Abstract:

Sterling Russia President and Owner Olga Kirova predicts her company will expand to 150 locations within Russia, with sales worth $5 million. Kirova's company is the only distributor of a US software company's products in the countries of the former USSR. Sterling Russia had a yearly revenue of over $3 million by mid-1995. The company employs 65 Russians, the only other employee is Kirova's partner and husband Douglas, who is from the US. Kirova sometimes find it difficult being accepted as a women in business. Kirova's name and her company name have been altered during the interview.
