Pirelli is close to deal to sell cable unit to Goldman Fund

Article Abstract:

Pirelli and Company S.p.A. is to divest its cable making unit to a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. investment fund for approximately $1.53 billion, including debt. The telecommunications-cable unit decreased its net loss to 18 million Euro from 56 million Euro, while revenue rose to 430 million Euro from 427 million Euro in 2004.

Italy's Star puts itself on the block without adviser

Novartis focused on medicine may shed Gerber
