Poland: Danish exports expected to increase

Article Abstract:

In 10 years Danish exports to Poland will total DKr20 bn (US$2.44 bn), says Jarl Frijs-Madsen, head of Danish Embassy's trade office in Warsaw. This would make Poland Denmark's fifth export market, compared with today when Poland is the 13th biggest market for Danish exports. According to Frijs-Madsen the Polish market will become more attractive when the date for EU membership has been settled. Setting the date will also result in a boom for Danish investments in Poland, says Frijs-Madsen. Many Danish companies are now waiting for Poland to enter the union in order to have confidence in the inner market.
