Preparing for the worst

Article Abstract:

Travel-insurance has become an increasingly important option for international travelers, especially for those with delicate medical conditions. The options in a travel-insurance policy may include not only coverage of accident or medical costs, but may include coverage for simple cases such as lost baggages or passports, to more serious cases such as medical evacuation. Travel insurance is a means by which a traveller leaves the worrying for emergency responses to his insurer.

Danger zones

Article Abstract:

Research, precaution and planning are advised for travelers who wish to avoid dangerous situations in a foreign land. In areas where there are reports of foreigners being abducted, a traveler is advised to have someone know his whereabouts, the purpose of his trips, and confining contacts to people one is familiar with or people whose identity can be traced. If possible, assess the use of a third-party in making contacts.
