Primary and secondary route selection in backbone communication networks
Article Abstract:
A nonlinear integer mathematical programming model is proposed for the primary and secondary route problem in backbone communication networks. The model is designed to minimize the mean delay faced by messages within the networks by identifying the primary route and the secondary link disjoint route. The primary route is used for sending messages, while the secondary route is used if the primary route is unavailable due to link failure.
