Article Abstract:

The fruit and vegetable processing industry in the Netherlands saw fairly good performance in 1995, although output in certain sectors has since been reduced, according to a survey. The survey considers various sectors in detail, including meat and fish products, dairy products, confectionery and biscuits and gives prospects for 1996. It gives details of companies involved in the food industry, including Friesland Dairy Foods, Campina Melkunie and Nutricia.

Foreign trade in fats and oils increased in 1994 with a rise in sales to China. Butter and margarine sales to eastern Europe also rose in 1994.
