Productivity in hotels: a stepwise data envelopment analysis of hotels' rooms division processes

Article Abstract:

A major concern in the service industries is low productivity. The importance of stepwise data envelopment analysis (DEA) for measuring and benchmarking productivity. The issues and problems regarding productivity measurement and the advantages of using DEA in productivity measurement are analyzed. Data from three-star hotels in United Kingdom is presented.

Critical success factors in UK corporate hotels

Article Abstract:

The results of a project that was undertaken to verify the outcome of a prior research done by Brotherton and Shaw on the application of critical success factors in UK's corporate hotels have been provided. The procedures followed in the study have been described.
