Franchisors embrace multibranding

Article Abstract:

Canadian franchisors have advanced the concept of multibranding franchise operations with the launching of 'trombos,' which is the combination of three brands in one location. One such trombo operation is the integration of Baskin Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts and Togo's Great Sandwiches in one store in Burnaby, BC. Analysts opine that multibranding in food services is an effective way to introduce new brands to the market and multibranding also increases the opportunities of all three brands.
