The various factors responsible for ChinaEs decision to abrogate the contract it gave to Newbridge Capital to control Shenzhen Development Bank have been described. The problems faced by foreign investors like Texas Pacific Group, Ripplewood and Newbridge Capital etc. interested to take over ailing Asian banks have been discussed.
