RWE to sell assets, focus on core

Article Abstract:

RWE AG of Germany has announced it is to divest it's British and United States water utilities valued at approximately 15 billion Euros ($18 billion). The public utitilities company is planning to consolidate it's core electricity and gas units in Europe, projecting increased revenue. The water operations earned 4.1 billion Euros last year.

Thyssen considers U.S. expansion, will sell parts unit

Article Abstract:

ThyssenKrupp AG of Germany is in negotiations to divest a stake in its North American automobile parts operation. The steel giant is also in talks to acquire Dofasco Inc. of Canada. ThyssenKrupp AG is planning to build a 2.3 billion Euros ($2.94 billion) steel industrial in the United States if the merger does not go through.

Siemens to sell stake in corporate-service unit

Article Abstract:

Siemens AG of Germany on the heels of a merger with Nokia Corp. of Finland is in negotiations to divest its enterprise unit which supplies telecommunications equipment. The unit has approximately 3.5 billion Euros ($4.4 billion) in annual sales.
