Rash of hot jobs breaks out; surveys indicate some Asian employers have hiring on their minds

Article Abstract:

A growing number of established and start-up firms in some Asian countries are on the lookout for an increasing number of employees, according to recent surveys. Despite the financial slowdown caused by the Asian economic crisis, some companies, especially in the telecommunications, information technology and public relations industries, are increasing their staff count. Aside from skilled, high-caliber managers, these companies are on a particular lookout for marketing and sales executives. Meanwhile, more down-the-line jobs are seen to increase as multinational firms expand to more Asian markets.
