Rentokil results hurt by charge to fight Raphoe

Rentokil Initial PLC of the United Kingdom has spent 10 million Pounds ($18 million) to fend off a hostile takeover from Raphoe Management Ltd. The facilities management services company posted a third quarter decline in pretax profit by 21 percent to 53.3 million Pounds, down from 67.7 million Pounds a year earlier. Sales are up 6.6 percent to 564.8 million Pounds.
