Right royal restoration

Article Abstract:

The Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square, London regained its originality by the architectural work of Haworth Tompkins, who undertook a kind of open-heart surgery instead of complete reconstruction of the original facade. The original theatre needed renovation, but was also seriously short of ancillary space, which was expanded along the side of the theatre and beneath Sloane Square and used a metal, Cor-Ten, at appropriate places to have proper advantage of its inherent richness and durability.
