If your luggage misses the flight, this may be its final destination

Article Abstract:

Airlines have different strategies in dealing with lost baggages with most of them auctioning off goods to their own employees or to public entities in order to cover costs or they give them to welfare and charities. Airlines oftentimes attempt to match lost baggage with their owners and the duration of time varies from airline to airline. Airlines sometimes have different policies regarding luggage with some selling unopened suitcases while others open them and sell off items per piece.

Losing taste for Hong Kong

Article Abstract:

Several airlines flying the Hong Kong-Japan route see a reduction of tourists interest for Hong Kong. This they claim is due to Hong Kong's high hotel charges after the turnover to Chinese rule. Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways are just some of those that have reported lower normal bookings compared when Hong Kong was under British rule.
