A varied market

Article Abstract:

German corporate finance firm MM Warbury & Co. has recorded an increase in the number of privately-owned family firms seeking to raise money through stock market listings in 1997. The market has been driven by the creation of the Neuer Markt in 1996, when Deutsche Telekom was privatised through an initial public offering. The German markets are benefiting from an excessive amount of investment capital in the system, which often results in high purchase prices.
