Article Abstract:

French farm workers have harassed McDonald's restaurants and have been backed by the French president, Jacques Chirac. The head of the company in France, Denis Hennequin, has pointed out that the company is a major employer in France, and that 80% of the ingredients it uses come from France. Rural shooters are also active with a political party of their own. They want to shoot migratory birds for longer, and want rights to shoot on land that is not their own.
