Russian metals companies draw limited interest in IPOs

Article Abstract:

Initial public offerings of Russian metal and mining companies are receiving a limited reponse. OJSC Polymetal is the one receiving attention with shares for the silver operation being offered between $7.25 to $9.50 per share. GV Gold has postponed its initial public offering because it couldn't generate a substantial share price.

Germany's largest companies reduce cross-shareholdings

Article Abstract:

Businesses of Germany are consolidating by divesting of substantial non-core assets, selling more than $8.03 billion in assets from cross-holdings this year, compared with $5.23 billion at the same time last year. In traditional German business practice investing in business partners was standard practice.

Why a Spaceship Landed in Bahrain And Never Departed

Article Abstract:

A space shuttle built in Russia and apparently bought by a Singapore company has ended up in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a quandry of unpaid bills and disrepair. The Russian authorities are now looking to sell the space shuttle to a German museum.
