SB decreases loss

Article Abstract:

Sklo Bohemia (SB) (Svetla nad Sazavou, Czech Republic), glass company, decreased its loss to 24.8 mil Kc in 1998 compared to 140 mil Kc in 1997. A reason for both the losses was the formation of rectifying items. The losses will be covered from the firm's reserve fund. The company's revenues increased by 16.5% to 946 mil Kc and its proceeds from the sales of products by 164.6 mil Kc to 906.6 mil Kc in 1998 compared to 1997. Exports represented 75% of the firm's total production in 1998 compared to 65% in 1997. The firm exports through its majority shareholder Bohemia Crystalex Trading (Prague, Czech Republic), trade company, mainly to Italy, the UK, Australia, Japan and the US.

Spofa reports results

Article Abstract:

Spofa (Prague, Czech Republic), pharmaceutical company, generated a profit of CEK 5.12 mil due to insulin sales during Jan-Oct 2000. In Jan-Oct 1999 the company saw a loss of CEK 10.87 mil. Its outputs amounted to CEK 135.71 mil over Jan-Oct 2000, more than a double compared to CEK 54.79 mil over Jan-Oct 1999.
