SHKP freezes Castello flat prices

Article Abstract:

Sun Hung Kai Properties is selling the second batch of 260 flats at Castello in Shatin. The offering price is HK$3,600 per sq. ft. in average, the same average price as the first batch that were sold in July. Hong Kong Property's branch sales manager Tsui Kin-yat expects the sales of the 260 flats will put pressure on secondary propert price in Shatin, where flats are priced from HK$4,300 to HK$4,800 per sq. ft. *

Thomas Cook, SHKP team up at airport

UK-based Thomas Cook Group and Sun Hung Kai Properties jointly established a foreign exchange bureau at the new Chek Lap Kok Airport. Thomas Cook holds a 75% stake in Thomas Cook Hung Kai Airport Currency Exchange Ltd. while SHKP owns the remaining 25%. The new company provides foreign exchange for 32 countries, traveller's cheques, travel insurance and phone cards for incoming and outbound passengers. *

shkp loses bid to build offices on site

The Town Planning Board has rejected Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP)'s proposal for turning Chai Wan industrial site into offices. The site is located on 399 Chai Wan Road which comprises 135 parkings and 11 loading spaces. The government explained that the office supply was already sufficient in Chai Wan. And Quarry Bay has accommodated a lot of office tenants over the past few years. *
