Samsung plans a South Korean consortium to buy Fokker

Article Abstract:

The Samsung Group is urging Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd., Hyundai Space & Aircraft Co. and Korean Air Lines into forming a consortium to purchase Dutch aircraft manufacturer NV Fokker. However, the three firms are still reviewing Samsung's proposal even as they claim Samsung needs the Korean government's financial aid to handle the purchase. Through the consortium, Samsung aims to resurrect a government-sponsored plan of developing an aircraft industry. Meanwhile, Fokker is concerned that the bid to form a consortium could delay the resolution of its financial dilemma.

Showing unruly guests the door isn't an option for airline crews

Article Abstract:

Passengers on board who have behavior problems pose a big woe for airline crews, but training and experience can help crews to handle such situations. Problems range from drinking on board and quarrels among passengers to chauvinism and disrespect. The biggest concerns, however, are the disruptions caused by lost tickets or late check-in, as well as the complaints from nonsmokers who happen to be near smoking areas. Drinking on board is the most common dilemma a crew encounters since the airlines provide on board drinks.
