Schroders fires CEO as profit plunges 68%

Schroders PLC has fired Chief Executive David Salisbury as the company's profits fell sharply for the 2001 first-half. Schroders posted a drop of 68% in its net profits to 31.3 million pounds for the period.

Net profit rises at Romanian bank

Swedbank's profit fell 32% in quarter due to stock slump
