Sega could ditch its game consoles for cellular phones

The future of Sega Corp. is up in the air as it approaches its fourth consecutive year of financial losses. Analysts are speculating that the Dreamcast video game player could be Sega's last console, as the company focuses on a new strategy of moving its video game software into other devices such as cellular telephones.

Enron makes its move

Article Abstract:

Enron Corp.'s E-Power Corp. unit plans to build a 2,000-megawatt power plant in Japan sometime around 2007. The facility, which would burn liquefied natural gas or natural gas, would be located in northern Aomori prefecture. It is possible that E Power eventually could have many plants located in Japan.

Matsushita looks to Mexico

Matsushita Communication Industrial Co., the largest mobile-phone maker in Japan, is planning to build a plant in Mexico to manufacture phones to be sold in the U.S. The phone maker also intends to outsource production to Selectron Corp., based in California.
