A day at the races

Article Abstract:

Point-to-point racing, or amateur steeplechasing, is thriving in Britain while big-time racing is faltering. The prizes are small, the training and upkeep are fairly high, and much of the proceeds are used to sponsor hunts. The sport succeeds because it is fun.
