Plastic surgeons believe that the most suitable candidates for cosmetic surgery are patients with realistic attitudes to their own body image, and realistic expectations of what they will gain from surgical enhancement. Age dropping is a popular new trend in which patients in their 30s have a full face-lift to avoid ever looking older.

Does plastic surgery lead to happiness?

Article Abstract:

According to University of Chicago Professor Sander L. Gilman, who wrote "Making the Body Beautiful," most people who have cosmetic surgery are looking for happiness. According to a study by the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, plastic surgery does enhance the lives.
