Siemens, Microsoft plan technology for vehicles

Microsoft Corp. and German electronics and engineering firm Siemens AG will work together to develop information, navigation, entertainment, and communication products for vehicles. Financial details regarding the deal were not disclosed. Production on the first of the technologies is expected to begin in 2009.

T-Mobile's exclusive iPhone pacts upheld

Germany's Hamburg District Court has ruled that T-Mobile International AG und Company KG can lock in its Apple Inc. iPhone customers in Germany into a two-year exclusive contract. The ruling reverses an injunction obtained by the German unit of Vodafone Group PLC barring T-Mobile from making such a contract.
