Singapore companies accelerate push to set up new operations around Asia

Article Abstract:

A growing number of Singaporean companies are shifting their production and manufacturing operations to neighboring countries to avoid high costs and to exploit new markets. This trend has become so pronounced that Singapore has become one of the largest foreign investors in several Asian countries. Analysts expect this movement overseas to grow even more as the Singaporean government has made 'regionalization' a key part of its economic policy.

Singapore's stable market induces analysts' snores

Article Abstract:

Many investors who retreated to Singapore early in 1995 are starting to find the island-nation's stable investment climate a little bit stifling.
