Sydney outdoor space demands a premium

Article Abstract:

The Sydney Olympic Games, which will be held from Sep 15 to Oct 1, 2000, provides opportunities for advertisers to secure a prime billboard site that costs more than C$1 million. The expensive rate is caused by the lack of good billboard sites in Sydney, Australia. Non-sponsors of the event are already getting billboard sites while sponsors, who are given the right of first refusal, have already signed outdoor advertising contracts.
