Some age-related issues in hotel and catering employment

Article Abstract:

A study on age-related issues in the hotel and catering professions shows that the industry hires a predominantly young work force. The 'watershed of worth' is also shown to fall at a younger age, unlike in other more general research efforts. Industries should tap the older age group to effectively manage future labor market changes. However, the hotel and catering businesses are likely to experience insignificant change if the industry continues to prefer a younger labor force.
