Specifier's choice: Sadler's Wells, London

Article Abstract:

The building of the new Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, England had to be completed quickly as some of the finance came from a Lottery grant. The involvement of construction manager Bovis Lehrer McGovern from the earliest days of the project helped fulfill this requirement. Architects Arts Team @ RHWL specified products and Bovis appointed tenderers. A dominant feature of the building is the extensive glass-walling of the foyer. English Architectural Glazing had the contract for this feature. Gerriets of Great Britain won the contract to provide the unusual stage curtain specified.
