Article Abstract:

The interrogation of IndonesiaEs Hambali alias Riduan Isamuddin captured in Thailand on august 11 has provided insight to the United States about the modus operandi of expanding terrorist networks by Jemaah Islamiah (JI) and Al Qaeda in Southeast Asia. The dilemma of the IndonesiaEs police on not being given access to Hambali by the United States has been mentioned.

Sour grapes: farmers are protesting against the country's first free-trade pact, but much rides on it passing

The first-ever trade agreement, by the South Korean government faces protests from farmers, who will face huge losses if the deal passes. The passage of the pact that will benefit all the Koreans proves as a test for South Korea's will to carry out economic reforms.
