Strength through Joy

Article Abstract:

Bill Joy was a co-founder of Sun Microsystems, and later sold his stake in the company. He moved to Aspen, Colorado, where he has developed the Java software langauge, and has developed a technology called Jini. Jini could offer ease of use and reliability to consumers, qualities which tend to be lacking in PCs. Joy has a consistency of vision so that parts of his work fit together, and he is more than a brilliant engineer. He argues that consumers should not bear the weight of complex systems.
