Student of behaviour

Article Abstract:

Norwegian architect Niels Torp derives his main inspiration from a love of people, and an interest in their everyday activities. He designs buildings to create a backdrop for the breadth of human activity they will accommodate. This appreciation of function in its widest sense is evident in Torp's BA headquarters building. He has designed the office spaces to work well in different formats, he has created spaces where employees can look out of the building, and he has included areas where they can drink coffee in a quiet place or in a more public area.
