Swedish bank's net rises 3.8% despite 4.4% revenue decline

Article Abstract:

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB posted a 3.8% increase in its net profits for the 2003 second quarter. However, the bank also posted a 4.4% drop in revenues to 6.68 billion kronor for the period. Skandinaviska posted 1.38 billion Swedish kronor (149.6 million euros) in net profits for the quarter.

Swedbank's net profit climbs amid improved credit quality

FoereningsSparbanken AB posted a slight rise in 2002 fourth quarter net profits to 1.15 billion Swedish kronor (126.3 million euros). The firm, which posted 1.14 billion kronor, was helped by the improved quality of its credit.

Dexia's profit rises, led by tax credit; loss provisions fall
