Textool Co Ltd (TCL) of Coimbatore incurred a net loss of Rs6.70 crore in the first half of 1998-99. TCL manufactures textile machinery. It plans to increase the capacity of its textile division from 6,552 spindles to 23,688 spindles by January 1999. The proposed merger of Coimbatore Cots and Coatings Ltd with TCL is yet to be approved by the Chennai High Court. (vv)
