Article Abstract:

Spain's venture capital market is increasingly adapting to international standards and ways of doing business. This means that the positive fundamentals of the Spanish economy are becoming more accessible to venture capital firms. The venture capital industry is taking on a higher profile as more deals are completed, but the government is set to boost the industry further by exempting from tax all capital gains made by venture capitalists on their investments. Foreign venture capital firms are mainly establishing a presence in Spain through local alliances.
