Tales in the riverbank

Article Abstract:

Havenland designed an apartment that used traditional materials of brick and timber to reflect the industrial heritage of the times, but they were used in a contemporary design that included glass and stainless steel, which brought up the notion of a historic wharfside building up-to-date. At the main attraction of the site was a peninsula of land that was recognized as having a key role to play in developing the architecture language of the entire complex.

The cloak of anonymity

Article Abstract:

Anonymity is generally not a cause of concern for seasonal practices, however many architects devise this means to avoiding open competitions, preferring to be invited for submissions so that one can use the name built up for his practice. Richard Rogers' anonymous proposals for a project in Sydney are illustrated with practice's previous signature buildings, including the Lloyd's Register.

Prince's pet hate laid to rest

Article Abstract:

Mondial House, situated on the north bank of the Thames near London Bridge is set to undergo a renovation.
