Teaching the art of service

Article Abstract:

Chinese hotels are struggling to improve their standards of service in a country plagued by a limited english speaking labor force. The level of service given to customers is low compared to neighboring countries and some hotels have opted to training teenagers after they graduate from high school. The strategy guarantees a steady flow of trained employees and a level of employers security since the trainees are required to sign service contracts prior to their training.
