Article Abstract:

The Euromonitor surveys the residential and business telephones in the UK and finds that there is an increase of 39% on 2001 figures, which has led to newer and more sophisticated products, as well as a wider variety of operation and services. UK telecommunication is a global unit and thus the international telecommunication markets are of equal importance.

The evolving behavioral nature of the incumbent UK telecommunications operator (BT) since privatization in 1984 through the implementation of a number of key change initiatives is reported. A conceptual framework gives an insight into how the alterations of cultures and structures are introduced as change initiatives.
