The M factor

Article Abstract:

Malaysian businessman Mirzan Mahathir, the oldest son of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, apparently is out to dominate teh country's shipping and related enterprises. His Konsortium Perkapalan listed spectacularly well in Jan 1996, and bought Pacific Basin Bulk Shipping in early July. He plans to increase its fleet at a cost of 600 million to 700 million ringgit, merge it with PNSL, sell the lot to Dipiderna, and emerge as the latter's new owner. He also has deals operating in Singapore, India, Japan, and perhaps the US.
