The Modernist temptations of going Dutch

Article Abstract:

A group of British visitors from the Twentieth Century Society studied a wide range of 20th-century architecture in the Netherlands. The visitors gained the overall impression that this period of architecture is well-represented in the Netherlands, and that architecture is highly-valued in the country. Highlights of the trip included Hilversum Town Hall, which was constructed in the 1920s, Utrecht Central Post Office, which is from the Amsterdam School of architects, and the Parkflat Marlot residential development, which was influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright.
