Hilary Clinton has repeatedly defended her husband, President Bill Clinton, who has faced a number of allegations of infidelity. She has not revealed her feelings, and has greater self-control than her husband. She is ruthless and exudes little empathy, yet is popularand is seen as a good role model. Both career women and non-career women support Hilary Clinton. The view of her marriage is that she is likely to divorce her husband after he leaves office. There is a US respect for ambition which is reflected in views of Hilary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton's travels to rural areas to discuss health care concerns with locals is primarily political. She is trying to reverse an image of closed government, one earned unfairly and brought upon by special interests who have been to numerous open meetings.
