The automotive company BMW looks for a locality for the construction of a new plant
Article Abstract:
BMW (Germany), automotive company, is looking for a locality for the construction of a new assembly plant in 2000. The plant should produce about 200,000 cars per year. A total of 53 investors in Europe are interested in the investment. Seven localities in the Czech Republic are prepared for the project. The Czech government has charged the foreign investment agency Czechinvest (Prague, Czech Republic) with negotiations about the placement of the plant in the Czech Republic with BMW.

Lecotex Tabor considers the construction of another plant

Lecotex (Tabor, Czech Republic), car textiles manufacturer, will make a decision on the construction of another plant by the end of March 2000. The costs on the construction of the plant should be 68 mil Kc. The plant should produce seat covers for 1,000 cars per day. If the firm builds the plant, it will become the largest car-seat cover production base within the multinational concern Faurencia.

Senovska Hut prepares glassworks construction
Article Abstract:
Senovska hut (SH) (Litvinov, Czech Republic), glass company, is preparing the construction of a new glassworks in Litvinov, Czech Republic, in 2000. The investment in the project should amount to between 180-200 mil Kc. The glassworks should generate a turnover of about 100 mil Kc per year and should have up to 150 employees.
