The capacity challenge

Article Abstract:

The city of Chicago, IL, is backing the expansion of the O'Hare airport, a move which is challenged by the state of Illinois, which wants to build a new airport at Peotone, IL. The city operates and owns the three Chicago, IL, airports and wants to retain high sales from its airport concession. Chicago's airports produce around 340,000 jobs and $14 billion a year in economic development. The city's plan is supported by the government of President Clinton. The Federal Aviation Administration has removed Peotone suggestions from its planing list in 1997, making it ineligible for federal money.
