The case for Ulster Unionism

Article Abstract:

The bomb explosion that took place shortly before peace talks were scheduled to resume in Northern Ireland is likely the work of a republican splinter group, but it signifies the difficulties ahead for the talks. The talks need the cooperation of all involved, including the unionist leaders.

Article Abstract:

Contrary to plan, no serious discussions took place in Northern Ireland during the second week of Sep 1997. Conflicts erupted prior to meetings between Sinn Fein and Unionists, and then a bomb detonated in Markethill, a Protestant village in County Armagh.
