The changing consumer in Greece

Article Abstract:

Greece's integration into the European Union has brought its consumers closer to their European counterparts. These similarities are remarkable in consumption patterns, lifestyles, social attitudes and demographics. These changes had profound effects on the macro marketing environment, including a wider distribution base for products, the deregulation of RTV media and the increased presence of international companies in the retail and services industries.

The changing consumer in Italy

Article Abstract:

Sweeping economic, demographic and social changes in Italy have given rise to differentiation and internal segmentation. The polarity is especially evident between northern and southern Italy, with changes in overall economic conditions, age and population distributions and household compositions. These changes largely shaped the consumption structure in the country, differentiating trends in life styles and purchasing behavior.
