The fisher king

Article Abstract:

House of Hardy, supplier of fly-fishing rods and tackle, was close to collapse at the end of the 1980s. However, it has enjoyed very strong revival over recent years, and expects to see its sales double to 11 million pounds sterling by 2003. Fly-fishing equipment will account for 40% of total sales by 2003, from an average of 68% in the period 1987 to 1997. The company's revival has been driven by managing director Gerry Metcalfe, who has made wide-reaching cultural and structural changes.
