The good, cheap central banker's guide

Article Abstract:

Central bank governors in most countries earn very healthy salaries, often not in line with the way they manage inflation. In fact, it seems the higher a central bank governor's pay the higher inflation that country has. US Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan earns less than any other governor.

Mayor Ed Rendell has brought Philadelphia, PA back from near financial collapse by careful budget management, successful negotiation with unions and imposing a wage tax on visiting athletes. For the first time since 1986, Philadelphia's budget will be balanced.
