The man with a pint to prove

Article Abstract:

There has been a dramatic change in management style at Bass over recent years, according to chairman and chief executive Sir Ian Prosser. Managers have become much more aware of the company's financial performance, and are less complacent about strategy. The company has recently purchased the brewing operations of Allied Domecq, and will see its share of the UK brewing market increase from 23% to 38% as a result, as long as the deal is approved by the Office of Fair Trading.
