Airlines win UK prize

Article Abstract:

National Air Traffic Services (Nats) has passed from government to private control when the UK government handed over 46% of Nats to the Airline Group and 5% to Nats staff. The event is the first time in history that a European government has relinquished control of air traffic provision to a commercial concern. The new Nats will be watched closely by other European service providers considering a similar move, especially the LVNL in the Netherlands.
