Thomson focuses on Hollywood in its latest shift: company transforms itself into equipment supplier to entertainment industry

Thomson S.A. is changing itself from a maker of conumer electronics to a producer of high-end equipment for the movie industry. The new strategy resulted in a 93% decline in income in 2003. To date, investors remain unimpressed, as share value is less than one third of its value in 2000.

Ubisoft weighs options to block hostile offer
